Jean Briers
Canine & Landscape Artist

sensitive depictions of animals and scenery

I am a mainly self taught artist, but have attended evening classes and workshops held by professional artists.

I have a keen interest in wildlife and the countryside which is reflected in my choice of subject when painting for myself.

I particularly enjoy painting dogs and aim to sensitively portray their character and life in my work.

I am a member of the Canine Art Guild, which showcases some of the best canine artists http://www.canineartguild.com

My work has been exhibited in some mjor exhibitions, including the Three Counties Exhibition at Keele University, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and the Simply the Best exhibition at the Art Materials Live show at the NEC also in Birmingham.

I belong to Art Support, we are a very sociable group of talented people who meet once a week to share expertise and have fun http://www.artsupport.co.uk
